Cranleigh could have 20 tonne trucks making an estimated 40 trips a day through the village, if a proposal to extract 100,000 tonnes of clay a year from the former Swallow’s Tiles site is approved. This website provides information about the proposal and gives advice on what you can do if you are concerned about the potential impact on Cranleigh.
Although the formal date for submitting objections has passed, we understand that further objections can be made until the date that the matter is determined. If you haven't already, please send to both Waverly Council and Surrey County Council
